Sebastien Rutes, French novelist, was born in 1976 in Annecy. University lecturer, specialist in Mexican and Latin American literature. Director until 2008 of the Spanish magazine Gangsterera, dedicated to noir fiction, he has worked with various newspapers and magazines in France, Spain, Cuba and Mexico. His latest novel, The Melancholy of Crows, was published in 2011. Photographed at the Quai du Polar, Lyon. Taken 24th March 2012.
