Sue Peebles and Stewart Conn, shortlisted winners of the Scottish Mortgage Investment Trust (SMIT) Book Awards, managed by Creative Scotland.
Sue Peebles has won the prize for First Book category for her novel "The Death of Lomond Friel", and Stewart Conn's "The Breakfast Room" collected poems won the Poetry category. The overall winner will be announced in August (2011) at the Edinburgh International Book Festival.
