Captain David Blakeley, former officer in the secret Pathfinders platoon.

A 40-strong unit specialising in airborne insertion, the 16 Air Assault Brigade’s Pathfinder Platoon was largely unknown to the general public, until now. Capt Blakeley has finally been able to tell the story of an ill fated mission behind enemy lines in a book 'Pathfinder'. The book is being hailed as the new Bravo Two Zero. It is highly critical of his superiors who refused to send in a rescue force after he and his team got trapped behind enemy lines. Pictured near Wandsworth Bridge London. Photographed 9th May 2012
